One of the skate world’s most cherished signature models, the Sal Barbier signatures from etnies have once again undergone a new series of modifications. Similar to the In4mation collaboration in the past, this latest pack goes a step further in changing things up profile-wise with a slimming effect all while incorporating some new little technological updates. The pack will be available in three simple, easy to wear colors over at Crooked Tongues.

    ”etnies just killed a classic.
the cupsole is what made it so good back then because everyone was vulc’ed. blowing it.”
i agree. why make it slim? it was perfect teh way it was….this is just for them to cash in on the whole slim / vulcanized trend. shame

Nah YoungSmallMike, it’s an alright shoe, but it just isn’t the Sal 23 anymore. I’m not feeling this at all, it looks just like so many Vans of back then and today, and they slap on the 23 to make it sell? Not sure too many kids these days even know who Sal is.

Grow up? Hmm, being over 30 i’m not trying to grow up faster than I am.

Giving it a vulc outsole isn’t exactly an “update.” But, I guess you are all knowing in the skateboard footwear realm. and yes, the information ones were OK. Taking the TPR off the toe makes this a different shoe. A woven label and the 23 are the only things left on this shoe. Thats killing a classic and making it something completely different there bromosexual.

Kenny Powers is trippin’! This looks insane. It’s 2009, soon to be ’10,, brosef. Slim it down and grow the eff up. This is an insane-lloking update on a classic. FYI – they just re-released the OG joint a few months ago. It was a colab shoe with In4mation. So…… the only other option is to give it a new twist.

    Feeling this!!!!
