Although there was some uncertainty regarding an actual release of his project with Nike, DJ AM’s Dunk Hi is now seen in its entirety, although unfortunately it comes after the famed DJ’s tragic and untimely passing. The shoes themselves remain quite simple, playing off a theme of patent leather and premium leather along with 3M perforated heel detailing amongst a black/red/grey color scheme. Rounding off the design is a tribute DJ AM logo placed on the tongue. Rumors have it that there should be another sneaker from the set due to drop although no further information has been released. For those interested, they are now available through Korean retailer Kasina, with a US release sure to come.

    i can’t believe how uninformed some people are. DJ Am collaborated on the design of this shoe they didn’t just make it spur the moment. i’d cop, not becuz of him but because the design is clean and not gawdy. but hypebeasts will overyhype as usual

    dj am would be ashamed. he’s supported nike dunk/sb and air jordon though most of his career and THIS is what nike gives him in return. Horrible. RIP DJ AM, but yo on the real..this is embarrassing.

    I really don’t mean any disrespect, but I don’t understand the fuss about DJ AM. He was an average celebrity DJ who bought a lot of trainers. What have I missed? Buying lots of things does not make you special!
    Has everyone forgotten how awful Crazy Town were?

    Im not usually feeling the shiny patent leather on kicks (bapestas etc.) but these are fresh. what AM did on his own time is, or was his business, shit I love to get high as fuk! but it was just random that homie took one too many… they should definitely release these. – maybe they can throw an oxy 80 in free with every purchase.
