something different always gets beat up on here. i like the fact that these don’t exactly fit the mold. and at 500 pairs worldwide, i don’t think dekline is exactly ‘cashing in’ on wu tang. they aren’t gonna make shit off these shoes. if they aren’t a copy of everything else on this site, all you haters just hate, because it doesn’t fit into your little box that you let other people paint around you. and for all the shit you fake non-skating mother fuckers steal from skateboarding, to even attempt to call out a skate company for doing something with the wu, well……….

the shoes are real nice. nice choice on the collabo, wu tang.

Yah no clue why they chose that collab but its a good looking shoe.. gotta’ say that much.

You guys sound dumb. Who cares if their skate team is hesh/punk. That doesn’t limit them to a specific genre of music they can listen to. Let alone the type of collab they can do. Go to hell.

I was in Rival Skate shop in June and the other owner, think his name is Jay was telling me about the kicks. He was finishing up the design with the help of the owners and founders of Dekline. He was telling there is a cool back story to how he designed it. I saw the mock ups but the finish Version looks crazy.

i think DEKLINE is a punk style sk8 brand, and we all know WU Tang is a classic rap group…they should collaborate with brands like RBK, PUMA and Adidas etc.
by the way, WU is always my favorite rap group!

    Hype Beasts,

We met Power Wu-Tang through our friends at Rival in NYC and just hit it off. That’s it. No major plots. Just friends doing things with friends. We have actually had a solid following of fans from the hip hop culture since the beginning. The store, Vinny’s Styles in Brooklyn was a early Dekline supporter. Since our inception of Dekline we have always been intent that Dekline is a lifestyle brand that reflects our friends and their interests. Skateboarding for it’s creativity, art, music, motorcycle riding and most of all the freedom of expression and having a damn good time doing it. We have never called Dekline a “skate” footwear brand. It just happens we are skateboarders and they do work for skateboarding. But we feel that we make quality, comfortable, cool sneaks for all our friends and fans around the world no matter what they do. Props to Power Wu-Tang and the rest of the band for being down.

    Enjoy the ride. TS

Wu-Tang Chamber Music is a compilation album endorsed by Wu-Tang Clan, which was released through E1 Music/Universal Records on June 30, 2009. If you’re not up on this shit you are doing it all wrong.

wow!, what is Dekline thinking? They has no business making this shoes and then dropping them for a price like that!? Now that’s sad. EPIC FAILURE….

Nah, I can’t see anyone in the Wu wearing these, and they just don’t look right. What’s up with the description saying the Wu hasn’t put out an album in a few years? 8 Diagrams dropped in December 2007, and Chamber Music (although not a real Wu-Tang album) came out like a month ago, not to mention OB4CL2, and Ghostface’s album dropping next week. I wonder why they’re so popular.

wu put out an album like 2 months ago.

Alright so i’m not normally the type to rant on about stuff like this but#1 DEKLINE IS A CORE SKATEBOARD BRAND. I really feel that they have no business trying to jump into this market. #2 The dekline logo is just terrible. I know that its dangerous to rebrand after several years of business but they really need to do something about it. #3 DEKLINE IS NOT HIP HOP. Their entire skateboard team is 99% hesh skateboarders and this project just doesnt make any sense for a brand like that. #4 GET RID OF THAT DAMN HALF STAR SILHOUETTE IT LOOKS HORRIBLE AND CORRUPTS THE ENTIRE SHOE. THERE IS NOT ONE SHOE IN THEIR ENTIRE COLLECTION THAT DOES NOT HAVE IT. SOME OF THEIR PRODUCT WOULD BE HALF WAY DECENT IF IT WASNT FOR THAT HIDEOUS ACCENT.

    The End.

  25. Posted by: Sebastian on September 25, 2009 at 1:17 am

I think that dekline is really just trying to ride off the popularity of the wu-tang dunks and try to get the same reception, kinda stupid, imo
