To answer your question SALVATION Bape does have an original sneaker design, the BAPESTA88 and in a real original colorway red yellow and blue. On second thought they kinda look like those AIR RONNIE’S Ronald McDonald put out a while back.

Sorry, Phil, I respect BAPE, and I’m not sure why folks are hating the brand now, (particularly when they were all over it a few years back), but these are clearly a Clyde ripoff.
They did these a long time ago, wasnt new then, isnt new now. Just overpriced sneakers that will never be classic. Bape shit is soooo disposable. Ever see anybody ever rock and old Bape shit? Never have, never will. Its over!
I’ve worked at Puma for 1.5 years and I’ve seen these colorways on either a Clyde or a Suede.
first off nigo stepped down on the designer aspect of bape second of all if bape is biting off of puma then all those who write that this is a knock off in these comment boxes are just biting eachother
More Colors N It Would Be Decent
There is nothing special or eye catching about these PHIL. Puma uses suede and leather and I’m pretty sure they have the same colorways and if not they have hundreds of better ones. I do enjoy some pieces of Bape’s clothing line here and there but shoe wise Bape just seems like any other japenese rip-off, just stealing the signature models from other brands and making them more expensive, thats not innovative at all.
Okay, look.. I’m tired of reading all this Bape-hate on these sneaker blogs. let’s face it, Bape is now, and for a while, will be one of the leading Japanese fasion designers, period. Bape isn’t “biting” off of Puma what so ever, Nigo and his design team are perfectly aware of the fact that people are gonna call these “Crapes” a bite off of Puma Clydes. However, Bape isn’t duplicating Puma, just using thier design and focusing more on eye catching colors and materials, ect. Simplicity IS fasion. Much love to Bape, the Crapes are dope.
