Our good friends at Nice Kicks joins Cultureshoq as the second piece of the ASICS “Trilogy Project” puzzle. Based again on GEL LYTE III, Nice Kicks founder Matt Halfhill presents a bright red creation featuring a perforated upper, ballistic mesh and a 3M Asics logo. The limited edition release will go down in October at David Z. with only 250 pairs created.

Thank you for not using 2009′s most over-used word: “tonal”. As for these – why does it seem like when-it-rains-it-pours, re: Undefeated aZx shoe and the recent Nike AM90 x Current x Huarache – they seem to have come from the same drawing board. It’s a shame, really, as they are all great shoes in their own right (including these), but now it’s going to be an e-beef battle of who stole whose idea. You’d like to think that fans of each shoe would be civil and let it lie, but fanboys are so possessive of being first. PS. GREAT laces. —cheers//dom
