[...] Hypebeast have uploaded shots from the latest Honeyee magazine featuring highlights from next season’s Visvim output. This gives the more eagle eyed reader an insight into the expected price hikes- and easy reading it is not. Season standouts, the Virgil boots come in at a whopping $605 (¥56,700), whilst footwear debutants the Malseet and Gabo Hi’s are priced at an incredible $470 (¥44,100) and $381 (¥35,700) respectively. The reindeer jacket comes in at a truly eye-watering $2000.  Some prices have however remained stable, the Lhamo folk fbt’s stay at 2008’s price of ¥39,900 – the kick in the teeth coming this time from the poor exchange rate. Treat yourselves guys.    Tagged with: Visvim, Visvim f/w 09 Prices leave a comment « Lad Musician F/W 09 [...]

Beautiful stuff…. But extremely over priced. Visvim is really not a street label anymore. It’s just too expensive..

Just when I have a thought like “man, it would be great to start a footwear line” I see Visvim’s latest shit and realize it would be a monumental waste of time and money, considering I would constantly live in envy of Hiroki Nakamura.

BTW… Let’s all collectively pray that he does not do a line with H&M anytime soon. Understand the rationale from a consumer perspective, but not from a brand… I also understand the two are intertwined, but just feels waaaaaay premature, especially on the clothing front.

it’s hiroki not hiroshi…two different cats, homes. and, man this collection is…like butter

Great line-up, but the recession is going to seriously play a part in the perception of this collection. Far too many people equate vsvm with streetwear, and streetwear with short-term fads. No one’s going to want to pay these prices for a short-term fix, even though these pieces are definitely long-term classics. Is vsvm worth it – yes. But even though it’s worth it doesn’t mean people are gonna (or are able to) buy. Hiroshi needs to do an H&M collab until his gear is considered invest-able again…..

@ Makana : you must have never seen, felt or touched a visvim product in real life before let alone owned one of their product offerings, they truly are masters executing their products well IMO, all im going to say is that, yes they are pricey, but i feel they are definitely worth the money, trust me on that

The quality looks good. It’ll take kids the next 4yrs realize how nice this is, because it’s not hyped yet.

However, nice designs and all that jazz.
