Leica M8 Special Edition White Version Camera Release

In one of the most recent Leica special edition previews, the esteemed German camera-maker unveiled an all-white M8 to the satisfaction of photography and design fans alike worldwide. As the camera hits retailers, here’s a look into the flagship camera body. Within the limited edition set of 275 comes a silver 28mm Elmarit-M ASPH lens, a white edition strap and an E39 UV/IR filter. The full set price is listed at $8,500 USD and available through Dale Photo & Digital.

    Leica glass is second to none. It’s like shooting medium format with a 35mm reel.
    All of you can keep saying it’s hipster and only looks cool, but the truth is these cameras are AMAZING.

    @ John. Don’t you think I don’t know that pro-cameras are expensive as fuck? I’m pretty sure a “real” photographer wouldn’t by this shit just because it looks good though. For that kid of money you could by a camera about 15 times better then this. It’s just because its limited and stylish it cost so much. This piece is only for rich-ass hipsters who doesn’t know jack about photography but buys it because it looks good, is limited and says Leica on it.

    $8,500!?!?! That’s just crazy! Are you sure you’ve got the price right? Yeah it looks real stylish and slick but you can’t be serious about this. I much rather have the Olympus E-P1; it’s smaller, cooler and probably have at least as good qualities, and it’s under $1000.
