In an all New York affair, Marc Jacobs sources close to home as they team up with Still Life to create a capsule of highly detailed and timeless hats. Aside from materials, everything from the initial blocking to the finishing trim is made entirely in New York. Some of the styles include the Parri Buntle featuring hand-woven South American straw, the Panama Straw which features a hand-dyed and woven material and the Rice Straw which features a special braid and shape. The hats will drop next week at Marc Jacobs stores early next week with a suggested retail price of $225 USD.

Step your game up kiddies. Chuckster is right on. If you want a $40 hat, stick to your fitted and the playground. This is grown mans business. You get what you pay for. They aren’t mass produced in China, like 90% of the other crap out there, that falls apart after one season. Hand made, in New York City. It’s all in the details. Still Life is bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. They have a hat factory out in Brooklyn.

lol @ these responses… you know they’d drop $400 if they had it to buy a Louis Vuitton wallet, but when the head designer from LV does his own line (not to mention Still Life..).. they’re clueless as to why a hat would be $225. Throw the LV monogram across the bow and watch these same dudes throw well over $225 to cop it. Homework, cuz.
