In commemoration of the upcoming Star Trek film, Staple Design and Airwalk got together for an Enterprise-inspired pair of sneakers, utilizing The Terrain style from their new footwear range. The kicks are given a special treatment, topped with a silver finish and Star Trek details. Only 140 pairs will be released tomorrow May 8th at the Reed Space in New York City. 110 pairs will come in mens sizes while 30 pairs will be made available in a kids range, sizes 1-4.

    Seriously? Payless, Andy Mac and Star Trek? I’m AMAZING this would even make it on Hypebeast. Yes, collabs are officially dead.

    I hope this proves that not every brand can sell limited crap and get away with it. I hear British Knights is working on a shoe with McDonalds. Better jump on it.

    This is a great Collabo. In General The Airwalk 1.0 are fire! Jeff and Airwalk did a great job on those.

    is this wasn’t the shoe that the cast wore during filming then it really doesn’t seem that appetizing…. and its an air walk?! To each his own i guess.

    But while I was typing this I just realized somthing: almost all those kids that were into Dungeons and Dragons and Star Trek rocked Air Walks, so I guess it might be an inevitable collab. lol

    Its a dam shame that AIRWALKS destroyed the brand by selling their sneakers at PAYLESS…. Love to see how they are hittin up the correct designers to revive the brand. THIS SHIT AINT WORKING PLAYA.

    We’re stoked to be working with Jeff Staple on these. This is not our first venture into sci fi shoes…Neo’s boots in the Matrix were Airwalk’s, and we’re still getting requests to this day for ‘em. It’s not exactly our usual gig doing shoes for Skate, music, and the like, but still pretty fun to be involved with. Thanks for the shout out~
