As part of his thesis project on sneaker culture, Parsons School of Design graduate David Park created this stop motion video outlining the history of sneaker culture within the last 30-some years. Covering the necessary bases including Hip-Hop to basketball, the visuals and effects are stunning to say the least as it touches upon interactions amongst various subcultures through a number of different iconic sneaker models.

    WTF? this dude has the supras as the “next big thing” type shoe?…..i mean i guess so, the tk society is a different kind o steez fo sho. but is it the “next big hype”?…. i didnt see any lines for the general release in my hood. you can get them for retail online, and most stores i go into have most sizes of most supras in stock. i dont think flightclubny or flightclubla has any supras on consignment…..but maybe im wrong and just a hater. but i feel like dunks and up towns and j’s are still on top, still the big thing, and who really needs nest big thing in these economic times…..im cool with the yeezys and my dunks. DUNKS 4 EVA
