Although the concept has been executed on multiple fronts over the last decade, Parisian fashion designer Nelson executes the jersey meets high fashion aesthetic with a well executed collection of sleeveless cardigans, which could very well be interpreted as vests. Amongst the chosen teams are last years World Champion Boston Celtics and this years hopefuls in the Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic. Available now via colette.

Is “sleeveless cardigan”even a thing? Surely these monstrosities are what would be apprpriately called waistcoats.

Concept isn’t bad… there’s a fun goofiness to it. But the design is horrible. What’s with those horizontal patches….

These would only work on a very attractive busty woman wearing a cheerleader skirt serving cocktails in a sports bar during the playoffs. Other than that it should not be worn.

Wouldn’t these be considered “vests” and not sleeveless cardigans? Especially since the defining characteristics of a cardigan is the material and cut, something these don’t have in common with it.

  27. Posted by: rekboogie on May 26, 2009 at 5:35 pm

All yall ni**az is Lames…Just let Lebron, Mello, or Howard win the Title niggaz will be rocking it. not all but those that have they own flavor..feel me…shit..ya got to have a good eye and swagger in order to pull it off…seems to me everybody here has no vision or concept. I’m a Stylist / Designer in NYC and Im telling you It can be done. What I would do is send it to whomever wins and jump off from there..especially if Lebron or Mello wins..

    these are for clowns

  31. Posted by: the real on May 26, 2009 at 3:30 pm

great idea and semi-original, but not a good financial investment unless the NBA promotes it or sells it on NBA.com.. it just wont sell… people dont even wear jerseys anymore, so i really doubt anyone would buy this..except suburb hipsters, to wear with their fidoras lol… meaning not much money to be made, so i would have to say fail…

  32. Posted by: kid on May 26, 2009 at 3:28 pm
