stussy calgary grand opening Stussy Calgary Grand Opening

Despite the tar sands of Alberta surely coming to an evident slowdown with the deep drop in oil prices, Stussy plans to forge ahead with a new flagship store in the second best city in Alberta, Calgary. The venue for the yearly Stampede amongst a perennial NHL quarter-final loser in the Calgary Flames (with all their best players from Edmonton anyways), the opening of the store will provide a new focal point in the Western-themed city. Look for Stussy Calgary to open up in March of 2009.

    E-BEEF FTW!

haha both citys have their good & bad. All I know that each city has their own cause I do live in Edmonton and actually work for Foosh but shop at HAVEN aswell but whenever I’m in Calgary I shop at Giant 45 and Group Seven.

BUT…EDMONTON IS STILL BETTER HAHAHA (Eugene is from Edmonton too if you didn’t know why he was bashing …abit haha)

    780 FTW.
Edmonton>Calgary…. Goodfoot is okay, Group seven is pretty terrible.

Haven is on a whole another level, the products and brands they carry. Foosh is Alright and has a good in house brand. Goodfoot has shoes yeah, but groups seven just has a bunch of karmaloop brands and a shitty store.

In my opinion. Foosh/Haven are actually pretty mediocre stores. Edmonton also has no urban feel whatsoever. Calgary is a wealthier city with a larger population, and has been growing at a rapidfire pace economically the last few years. Not to mention it has had several streetwear stores for years. Giant 45 has been repping Stussy big time since it opened back in the day. Stussy definitely did their homework.

I don’t how big brands like them work in this regard…Stussy we love you, but take care of the little guys (Giant 45), they helped you get your foot in the door.

Deffs a bigger market for streetwear in calgary. Stussy there will be sick, and join up with goodfoot and group seven.

@ CM…yeah cuz edmonton is a regular harajuku right?? sure you got haven and foosh which are great stores…but don’t front like you’re any harder than calgary…do your homework.

They should pack up their store and move to Edmonton since their opening isn’t for 2 months
Theres a reason theres next to no urbanwear stores in Calgary, because Calgary sucks and it won’t do well there.

    Calgary is an Ed-Hardy Party
