As a leading “popagandist” artist, Ron English’s approach to art has often embodied a tongue in check mentality with a strong underlying social message. In one of his latest exhibitions, the artist takes over the newly opened Garageworks Gallery in Hong Kong which serves dually as the launch of his toy with Made by Monsters. The exhibition features some Ron English’s prototypical style over various mediums from artwork to 3D works. The Grin toy done in association with Made by Monsters is inspired by none other then the lovable loser, Charlie Brown which sees a release on Tuesday, January 13th.

Hi again & nice write up on Ron English.

Indeed, English a pop pervert and prankster impresario, tweaking any nose that wanders within his grasp. His images are always fun house mirror reflections of our increasingly bizarre popular culture, complete with weirdo lighting and acts of perplexing oddity. This may be one of the reason why I enjoy is art…truly “Art is not made its expressed”.
