Rei Kawakubo for H&M
by L.A. Ruano, August 15, 2008
With the upcoming H&M store opening up in Tokyo, Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo has been chosen to do a line consisting of women, mens and even kids clothing. Known for their avant garde style, the ready to wear collection from H&M will be a bit more subdued yet keeping the Kawakubo touch. The collaboration sounds like a pleasant way to open up shop in Japan, yet somehow we still wish they could offer these designers for the US market, as it would be the closet we can come to affording Comme des Garcons. so dope!
It,s gonna be buy and bring back time at the stores!
Now how the hell could they charge 90 for a tee?! A real CDG tee is like 140. Get the hell out of here. This shit looks wack- esp. the mens…the womens is designed- but you nkow the quality will be horrible. H&M fails over and over again.
They could charge $90 for t-shirts, $ 250 plus for everything else.
I’m kinda disapointed, I was kind of looking forward to this since I love GDC; but I don’t like H&M’s cheaply made, tacky run of the mill high street crap. So I was wondering if GDC could inject something interesting into the company, but it seems it could just aswell be any other clothes in H&M. Nothing here stands out.
Umm … who says it’s not coming to the US of A? It is coming to H & M stores stateside this fall.
SUper FuTure for fat americans
I’m really into them.
Semi Dope my ass dude!!! They look fuckn crazy!!
