“I’ve always wanted to make shoe shoes. Shoes that are neither high street nor high fashion footwear, but the proper shoes that I’ve always been looking for. Now is the right time for Pointer to step up to fill the void: it’s a natural progression of the line.”

These words from Pointer founder Gareth Skewis have contributed to Pointer’s dominance at the top of the independent footwear ladder and helped pave the way into a new genre of footwear which combine refine aesthetics which transcend both thoughts of casual affairs and more formal functions. The fulfillment of Skewis’ own necessity for a certain style of footwear ironically seems to be one many people share judging by the brands popularity. One of their more popular models seen here, the low-top Debaser has maintained a certain silhouette which has caught the eye of many and coupled with choice material selection, each season the Debaser is at the head of Pointer’s pack. With the two colors seen here, the black pair features specialty artwork done exclusively by artist Nik Taylor for Pointer’s 2008 fall/winter collection as it graces the liners of these particular Debasers. The collection begins to hit stores this month, check PointerFootwear.com for the location nearest you.
