NUMBER (N)INE Skull Disney Collection

Re-interpreting American culture, Japanese brand NUMBER(N)INE headed by designer Takahiro Miyashita, continues their Americana efforts with a deadly take on some of Disney’s most precious characters. Included in this new tee collection are iconic members of Walt Disneys lineup: Mickey, Goofy, Bambi, Pooh and Pinocchio without the elongated wooden nose. Coming in only a black color scheme all characters are now available at Cliffedge.

These are pretty fucking lame all around. I’m not into anything Disney to begin with. But with that being said, who comes up with the bright concept to take iconic pop culture cartoon figures and switch their original heads out with skulls?

I believe the artist Kaws made a name for himself by using that exact idea of taking “iconic pop culture cartoon figures and switch their original heads out with skulls”. in fact, lots of people really like it. not saying these are as good as kaws but the concept has been done before.
