Thats right kiddies, Don’t Believe the HYPEBEAST is back up, and no we’re not talking about ourselves either.
Created by a group of people who were once impressed by the innovative designs of streetwear labels, and now see the market as a “vast array of boring and predominantly overpriced streetwear” they decided to create Don’t Believe the HYPEBEAST to help people realize that not every thing a company puts out is necessarily “hot” just coz of the brand name behind it. So if you feel that you are one of those people who like to go against the hype, then be sure to check out this website for all their latest thoughts.

Rob Walker the person behind the recent New York Times feature on streetwear recently did an interview with internet celebrity “Neek”. Its an excellent write up casting light on how consumer culture breeds into branding and its implications within the streetwear community. The interview can be read on Murketing.
