Honeyee posted the much awaited full feature on the Uniform Experiment Fujiwara x Soph. collaboration. As expected photography and product placement is an excellent supplement to the tops quality product, that is obvious in the feature. It contains elements we’ve seen previously but in a new light. A brand meant for the maturing heads, who’ll be needing blazers and ties, and necessities like jewel encrusted carabiners. Uniform Experiment is the creation of Sophnet.’s creative director, Hirofumi Kiyonaga, and the global influencer, Hiroshi Fujiwara. With suits, ties, blazers and polos in their collection, the brand Uniform Experiment is targeted towards the street heads who have grown up and are working but will still appreciate the craft of Kiyonaga and the branding of Hiroshi. At the latest buyer’s exhibition, Hiroshi gives us a preview of some upcoming items from Uniform Experiment which includes wallets, knitwear and a carabiner encrusted with gems. However, there is no word on when these products will arrive but look for them soon at Soph. stores.

The flagship shop for brands like Sophnet., FCRB, and uniform experiment has opened their new store in Osaka on March 20th. For the opening of the new Soph. Osaka store, there will be some exclusive items available including the Soph. x Nike “6453+7674” Revaderchi as well as the Stussy “Kiyonaga” model (Hirofumi Kiyonaga is the creative director of the Soph. brands). The newly launched fashion brand uniform experiment from Hirofumi Kiyonaga (of Sophnet./FCRB) has recently added a new series of accessories to its collection. The products include a new approach on the keychain carabiner as well as a leather bound pass holder. The functional products are a nice compliment to his higher end collection of apparel. With the inaugural release of uniform experiment upon us, the creative direction led by two of Japan’s forefront innovators Hiroshi Fujiwara and Hirofumi Kiyonaga hold a strong resume of fashion accomplishments. The most recent uniform experiment represents a new direction for the two, with a level of dress representing a much more mature look. The collection is largely spearheaded by suits and blazers complimented with flattering button-ups and Harrington-esque jackets.
Creative director Hirofumi Kiyonaga is set to launch his trifecta of brands this month, marking the 2008 Spring/Summer season. His staple of brands associated with include SOPHNET., FCRB and his inaugural project with Hiroshi Fujiwara, Uniform Experiment. All brands will release February 2nd, with the exception of FCRB which will be unveiled on February 9th.
Japanese boutique Sophnet. has revealed a series of different items set to release as part of their 2008 New Year collections. Some of the releases include a Polo shirt from Uniform Experiment (project between Sophnet. & Hiroshi Fujiwara), Sophnet. Still Trad shirts, FC Real Bristol t-shirts and Dr. Romanelli x Sophnet. Together they have created a more mature line of clothing which involves suits and ties that are targeted towards the Japanese streetwear crowd that have grown up.
