3Sixteen is at it again, and this time they teamed up with OC-based sunglasses manufacturer, Sabrevision, to create their very first sunglasses design. With Sabrevision’s Sunday frame as a base, 3Sixteen added marbled acetate frame, smoked gradient lenses, and the classic 3Sixteen script logo engraved on the left leg. The sunglasses have three colorways: Amber, Blue, and Grey, and will come in a special custom dust bag. It will be available at select 3Sixteen accounts in June. The new royalty is definitely taking over the reigns with their ever-expanding product lines.
Dita Eyewear was started by Jeff Solorio and John Juniper in 1996 and have worked with top designers in Japan including Undercover, Roen and Hysteric Glamour. The latest collaboration is with Hong Kong’s SiLLY THiNG on a pair of sunglasses. The owner of SiLLY THiNG, TK, has gave us a sneak peek of the sample sunglasses. Stay tuned for more information.
Futura Laboratories has been hard at work recently translating the mystique and styles of artist Futura into apparel and accessories. Some of the marquee upcoming designs include the Alphabet tee, the rugged and practical Cordura backpack and the Atomic Ring messenger bag. Available now at STLESS.
Linda Farrow started her own fashion label back in 1970 designing and creating highly sought after Sunglasses. In April 2003, Linda Farrow decided to relaunch her British sunglasses label under the name of Linda Farrow Vintage. This season, Linda Farrow Vintage will release a series of collaboration sunglasses with designers like Jeremy Scott, Raf Simons, Rodarte and Bernhard Willhelm. Six new styles are now available at Colette.
Juno of Hong Kong lifestyle brand SiLLY THING has teamed up with Japanese jewelry and accessories label JAM HOME MADE on a pair of sunglasses. The new direction of SiLLY THING has been foreshadowed by many as ST looks to present a more mature aesthetic, which is signified by this collaboration. No word yet on a release date but be on the look out for more photographs.
Something hinted to earlier in the Stussy 2008 Spring Catalog was an upcoming collabo with Hiroshi Fujiwara. The sunglasses seen here represent that clean and simple aesthetic that HF has applied consistently. According to Kix-Files, the eyeglasses are a re-release from a previous collaboration. No word yet on availability.

Recon’s Jared Liner and Richard Walker has started a new sunglasses brand called R3. One of the upcoming sunglasses from R3 will be this one designed by the artist Futura. No exact release date have been set but the glasses should be out sometime in the summer. Oh and they’re made in Japan as well.

The Japanese brand Wtaps has released a new pair of Slinky Optics Bad Manner Sunglasses. These cool looking shades comes in a dual tone colorway (black & white) and features a mean looking shape. We imagine that wearing these might make you look a bit like a superhero or a super villain. Nevertheless, they are now available at the Italian boutique, SlamJam.
As the Spring collection previews get rolled out, Japanese brand Deluxe has unveiled their products as we progress into the cold winter months. Releases include Deluxe x Koki eyewear, Roadrunner jacket, Burning belt, Whip Light beanie, Freedom button-up, Project thermal and Weezer sweater. Mike23, known for their fanatical approach towards things symbolic of Michael Jordan, has teamed up with Blinde sunglasses. The end products are two different models of sunglasses each utilizing different colors of the popular crackle pattern. Aside from the Jam Man logo on the arm, another characteristic is the use of two screws on the front and three screws on the arm to symbolize 23. Each pair comes complete with custom case and cloth and will be available August of this year.
