KIKS TYO has helped usher in up-and-coming lifestyle brand QUOLOMO. The well known sneaker inspired label KIKS TYO has teamed up with QUOLOMO in a twelve day joint pop-shop in Tokyo’s MARUI Yurakucho space. Located on the 6th floor, “Director’s Cut” the space will feature a series of collaborative items including Hello Kitty, Takahashi Hiroshi’s bestselling manga CROWS, Casio G-SHOCK, Aki Hoshino, Yashumasa Yonehara and Shiro Nakano of Modern Pets. DJ Hazime’s DOUBLE HARD label has teamed up with fellow Japanese brand KIKS TYO on collaboration effort featuring two t-shirts. Keeping true to KIKS TYO’s bread and butter, the tees reference sneakers including the Reebok Pump Easter edition and the MTV Puma Clyde. Available now in various colors at KIKS TYO.
After the “Sneaker Lover” Photo tees, the “Sneaker Lover” book and the DVD, Kiks TYO is releasing Tees once again with Aki Hoshino lying semi-naked with your favorite sneakers. The merging of sneakers and girls in bikinis are always popular amongst sneakerheads. The shirts are available on pre-order at the Kiks TYO store.
Following up on their pictorial endeavor, Sneaker Lover, the trio have released a DVD to accompany the project. Featuring almost 60 minutes of video, the DVD follows the crew around as they create content for the book. The DVD is set as region-free allowing worldwide play. Available now at KIKS TYO.
Sanrio’s famous Hello Kitty character continues to hit Japanese brands such as Atmos, Undercover and now, KIKS TYO. The latest Hello Kitty collaboration is this KIKS TYO “Hoshino Akitty” tee which is done with the sexy Japanese bikini model, Hoshino Aki. Three designs will be released, the first two featuring Hello Kitty while the last one will feature Hoshino Aki. The first tee will be released in April followed by second tee in May and the third tee in July. Pre-order for the first tee is now available at KIKS TYO.
Aki Hoshino and KIKS TYO have put their interpretative spin on the whole Yo! MTV Raps phenomenon with their own collaborative hoodie. The inner lining is marked with Yo! MTV Raps style trading cards from previous designs such as SBTG, Crooked Tongues, Playstation, Super Star, G-Flash NB, AJ1 and Wings. Available through KIKS TYO.
