A selection of artist James Jarvis’ marquee style and works will soon be made available through special prints at the Amos Online Store. The original artwork from James Jarvis will be available on A3 and A4 formats which have previously graced the pages of popular publications and projects. Also seen are his extensive range of fun and energetic characters including YOD, Martin, Bird God and the Bearded Prophet. The pieces will be available starting May 3rd.
Back in 2004, the scificrazychildren series CC21-31 by Michael Lau was released. Four years later, Michael Lau will be launching the next figure in this series, the CC32 S.F.J.J. According to some preview sketches, this figure will be created in conjunction with British artist James Jarvis (thus J.J). Stay tuned for more pictures of this figure.

A special follow-up to Amos Toys’ popular Wrestling Elves toys will release later this month. The toys were originally a 3D transformation of album art for Juno Mak’s Chapel of Dawn CD. This special mono colorway of the Wrestling Elves will be available to the Japanese public on December 20th at Amos Toys (Japan). However a further compliment will be available to the UK Webstore and at Hong Kong’s SiLLY THING.
SiLLY THING is in the midsts of debuting their all new collection titled CHAPEL of DAWN. Seen here are a preview of their canvas tote bags which incorporate the Wrestling Elves designs originally conceived by artist James Jarvis. Three different sizes will release on Saturday, with a list of international retailers to come.

Artist James Jarvis was recently in Beijing for an exhibition held by Chinese sportswear company Li Ning. China’s capital played host to a series of influential artists such as Jarvis and Kaws as a jump off to the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games. Here’s a time lapse shot of Jarvis in his element. Some of his work can also be seen in the upcoming release of Jarvis book Selected Drawings.
Amos Toys co-founder and artist James Jarvis is set to release a book documenting his designs and inspirations. As you flip through the 240 pages, be submerged first hand into the work of James Jarvis and his favorite illustrations between 2001 and 2007. The book includes illustrations over the years encompassing commercial work, comic strips, t-shirt graphics and toys. This project allows viewers to follow the conceptualization of an idea through drawing to the actual physical product.
Also set to release are three special YOD figures which each feature decorations of a mythical beast theme taken from Jarvis’ book. A small run of books will release at the end of November while a full run to take place in the Spring of 2008.
Earlier this summer, Amos Toys released their comic book Vortigern’s Machine. The comic recently arrived at the Beams T Official Web Store and includes not only the comic book but also a t-shirt featuring the characters seen within the comic.
Toy-designer and illustrator James Jarvis recently produced two designs for Alakazam. Alakazam are into their third season under the watchful guidance of Will Sweeney. Both Will Sweeney and James Jarvis have previously had connections together with Silas. Available for sale now at Alakazam’s online store.
