The very highly anticipated 3G iPhone has just been announced by Steve Jobs at Apple’s annual WWDC. This time around, the iPhone is everything the old one was but better and amazingly, a lot cheaper. It has thinner edges, a full black plastic back, flush headphone jack, and it will be 36% faster than Nokia’s N95 and Treo 750 in terms of pageloads. It also has improved battery life with 300 hours of standby, 8-10 hours of 2G talk, 5 hours of 3G talk, 7 hours of video, and 24 hours of audio. It will also come with GPS, so you know where you are all the time.
8GB is available for $199 and 16GB will come in white for $299. Available on July 11th, pre-orders are available now at the Apple store.
Famous English graphic designer, Peter Saville, designed a limited-edition Zune player for Microsoft to celebrate the DVD release of “Joy Division”, the critically acclaimed documentary. Joy Division tells the story of the seminal post-punk band through the perspective of surviving members and the people who worked with them during the short-lived high power existence.
The limited-edition players will come pre-loaded with the documentary and will be etched with a reinterpretation Saville’s artwork for Joy Division’s “Unknown Pleasure” album. Only 500 will be made and will be available the same date as the DVD release, June 17th.

Nomenclature aside, the Blackberry Bold enjoys a well deserved upgrade as the first major BB release in two years. The aesthetics are relatively the same, keeping that distinct BB look stressing what most business users will confirm, usability. The development of a new software platform goes hand in hand with the obvious hardware improvements such as HSPDA, Wifi, 625MHz CPU, 1GB internal flash memory and expandable storage up to 16 GB. While unsure of how many people defected from Blackberry to the iPhone, for those looking to return to the goodness of a solid keyboard, a new king has emerged.
With the mobile world turned upside down with the release of the iPhone, every touch-based phone since Apple’s hot seller has been dubbed the “iPod Killer” however few have lived up to the billing. Enter the newly announced HTC Diamond. Utilizing Windows Mobile 6.1, the phone features VGA Screen, quad-band HSPDA 7.2 and other iPhone-esque features. Despite initial reports that the interface is a little slow, the bugs should be worked out by the time a release date rolls around. No word yet on a stateside release date.

One of the most anticipated games of the year, Grand Theft Auto IV, has been out for a few days already. Since the released, players have been spotting “streetwear” on many of Liberty City’s NPC’s (non-player characters). Yesterday, we saw clothing from Rockers NYC in the game. Today we have the infamous LRG hoodie spotted on one of the characters in the game. This makes you wonder how many more brands will be seen in the game. One of the most well received and well documented video games in the last few years, Grand Theft Auto IV has been perceived as one of the most detailed creations of its kind incorporating numerous features to create an extremely realistic gameplay. Rockers NYC had the opportunity to outfit Jamaican gangsters Little Jacob and Real Badman in vintage Rockers gear. As the game is quickly played and details uncovered, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more cameos from various brands.
The long awaited Grand Theft Auto IV is finally upon us. The 4th installment to Rockstar North’s Grand Theft Auto series is already breaking records within the gaming industry having sold more pre-orders than Bungie’s Halo 3. In a sense this is still the game we’ve all come to know and love, but it’s much more this time around. This isn’t just a game, this is a cinematic masterpiece. You literally feel as if you are controlling the plot within a Hollywood film. The visuals have been completely revamped and although Liberty City isn’t as big as San Andreas, there are many more things that can be done within the space that is used. This is definitely the most depth we’ve ever seen in an electronic world. This game is definitely breathtaking and without a doubt one of the best games I’ve ever seen period.

Just recently Samsung also partnered with adidas on a new training system phone. The Giorgio Armani sports a slim 10.5 mm thickness with a bundle of features including a 3.0 MP camera, music player function and microSD card expansion.
