The event will focus on not only some of the most popular Dunk models of all time but also offer the aforementioned Chinese artists a chance to create interpretations of what the Dunk represents to a society that only within the last few years truly experienced the athletic powerhouse that is Nike. The list of exhibitors include 8GG (New Media), Ying Liang (Short Film), OPEN Architecture (Architecture), Gao Wendong (Short Film), Chen Feibo + Li Jianhong + Li Jian (Motion Graphics), Lei Lei (Animation), Xu Wenkai (New Media) and Zhou Hongxiang (Video Installation). With a concert date set for April 10th, Bape has released pictures of products released in conjunction with their musical event, World Wide Bape Heads Show. Hoods Hong Kong Grand Opening April 1st

After close to a month of exhibiting a series of customized t-shirts, WTAPS founder Tetsu Nishiyama and Neighborhood’s Shinsuke Takizawa will formally open up Hoods Hong Kong on April 1st. As the lone Hoods concept shop outside of Japan, the space will have full selection of both WTAPS and Neighborhood collections. The pre-opening festivities will be marked by a special invite-only event on March 31st. The event will include live music by Jackie and the Cedrics and DJing from Bounty Hunter’s Hikaru and Naoki Sima (Devil’s Pray Thing).

For photographer Sidney Lo, the year long “What Are You Wearing Today?” project became a visual diary for not only his fashion accounts but a running account of the progress of his raw denim as it would take a life of its own throughout the months. In an exhibition sponsored by internet forum Superfuture.com and among the USA’s premier denim stores Selfedge, Sidney Lo will present 367 days of photographic progress. As previously mentioned, the World Wide Bape Heads Show which will have performances by Kanye West, N.E.R.D., Nigo and the Teriyaki Boyz will be taking place in Hong Kong on April 10th. Silas 10th Anniversary Collection

The Silas x Wired H collaboration to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the British brand was effective foreshadowing as a whole collection has now been revealed. Silas will celebrate their 10 years with collaborations featuring both Reebok and knitwear brand John Smedley. Among the items from a footwear point are the NPC and Classic Leather while John Smedley’s collaboration will lead the way with polos and shirts. Other commemorative releases will include graphic t-shirts. With a strong distribution focused mainly in Japan, these may prove to be difficult to acquire elsewhere in the world. Source: Silas

A name that has become synonymous with the pop culture art movement, Takashi Murakami will see his trials and tribulations take over the Brooklyn Museum next month in his © MURAKAMI exhibition. Close to 100 works of art spanning Murakami’s career will be on display in an 18,500 square foot gallery. The exhibition will uncover Murakami’s progression as an artist, works from 1992 all the way to 2000 will explore his branding and identity. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students while children under the age of 12 are free. The tickets can be purchased the same day of entry at the Brooklyn Museum Visitor Center.
