In association with the upcoming African Cup of Nations, Puma has launched a special four pack of sneakers using the football relevant Argentina shoe as it’s template. In recent times, Africans have had a pronounced effect on football’s worldwide landscape as they mark their presence in top leagues in Europe and around the world. Yo! MTV Raps aired on MTV on in 1988 and was one of the first hip hop music shows hosted by Doctor Dré, Ed Lover and Fab 5 Freddy. Since 2006, Puma has taken inspiration from the Yo! MTV Raps music show and has applied it on a series of sneakers and apparel. For this time around, Puma has used the First Round model and has create a pair of sneakers with white, hot pink and neon yellow accents. These colorful sneakers will be available sometime in Spring and will come in limited quantities.

In a foil between the ghetto of West Philly and the swankiness of Bel-Air, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air x Puma collaboration looks to both locales to accentuate the differences often seen on the popular TV show. The recently seen West Philly First Round is emblazoned with graffiti while the Bel-Air Clyde offers a different approach with high quality Italian croc skin leather and gold highlights. The pack also includes a gold Forcer watch. The whole Fresh Prince of Bel-Air x Puma pack will release May 17th.

A new twist has been revealed for the Bodega x Puma Spy II Hi. A gray version references the mysterious gray spy which was seen in MAD Magazine’s popular comic between ‘62 and ‘65. Apparently a special hidden message that requires decoding will yield methods on how to obtain this special 30 pair Friends & Family release. The regular version will release February 23rd at Bodega (Boston), Ubiq (Philadelphia), Huf (San Francisco), ALIFE (New York), Premium Goods (Houston), Undefeated (Los Angeles – La Brea location), Classic Kicks (New York), Livestock (Toronto), and Atmos (New York).
With the details currently unknown, Puma has shipped out some special signature Clydes to select individuals. Among the first is Solebox’s brother tandem Hikmet Sugoer and Suekret Sugoer. Each received a hand painted white Clyde with their names seen printed below the Puma logo on the side. Check back for more details on this interesting project.
The Puma Disc Blaze was first released back in 1994. The sneaker became popular because of its special Disc lacing system and the DuPont Hypalon outsole which provided extra comfort for runners. Here are some new and upcoming colorways for this sneaker. Rumor has it that these will be offered only at selected boutiques and will be available in May.

PUMA® introduces the PUMA x BDGA Spy II Hi, a special limited edition shoe featuring Mad Magazine’s classic Spy vs. Spy characters, created in collaboration with the magazine and Boston-based lifestyle boutique, Bodega.
This limited edition shoe is based on PUMA’s classic Sky II Hi silhouette and is loaded with details inspired by the classic comic strip. It features premium leather, translucent outsoles with the Spy characters underneath, a removable footbed complete with bullet holes, hidden messages, dynamite hangtags, and even a secret stash pocket holding a message to be decoded.
A very limited number of pairs will be released on February 23, 2008, which leaves you enough time to formulate your strategy on how to get your’s.

The success of previous Puma x Vaughn Bode releases has translated into this new updated collaboration on the Puma Basket. While previous years have seen the Clyde hold most of the spot light, we’ve seen a strong push in recent memory by Puma as they look to give the Basket more air play. The Basket features more subdued styling then in the past with solid black/black and white/white styles seen. Available May of this year.
