Nike Dunk High Octagon Pixel Pack

Yesterday saw the unveiling of a series of new products under the newly relaunched Nike Sportswear division. Among the products were a one piece Dunk High featuring a series of pixels forming the outline of the upper and Swoosh. Antenna Magazine has provided a more comprehensive look into the collection. We’ve seen a strong theme involving by-products of the number ‘8’ including liberal use of the octagon. In relation with the Beijing Olympics and the Chinese population, number 8 is a symbol of large significance indicating prosperity. No word yet on a release date. Source: Antenna

Nike Dunk High Octagon Quilted Color Pack

Among the releases are the Octagon Quilted Color Pack, featuring a wide range of solid colored offerings with brilliant quilted uppers. The tongue tag features a series of octagons similar to the Olympic Rings.

Nike Dunk High Brazil

Allegedly part of the latest Euro Champ Pack of sneakers from Nike inspired by various soccer nations, this latest Nike Dunk High draws reference to the infamous samba boys of Brazil in their iconic yellow/green colorway. But obvious geographical differences all but ensures that Brazil won’t be on hand for Euro 2008, co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland. This particular Brazilian inspired release seems like a suitable contemporary update to previous Brazil Dunks seen in the past. Available now at LTD-Online.

Raymond Pettibon x UNDFTD Nike Dunk High Custom

Joining a strong line up of artists, Raymond Pettibon was among the few select artists chosen to work with UNDFTD on their popular billboard project. Although his opportunity was a few years ago, Pettibon did two custom pairs of Dunk Highs in black/blue and black/red colorways with extensive box art especially for UNDFTD’s Eddie Cruz embodying the same art work gracing the billboards. Seen on the internet for the first time, the sneakers showcase the meaning behind Pettibon’s work.

With so much anticipation building, it looks like the Nike Skateboarding Camp finally decided to release the much hyped New Castle Brown Ale inspired Dunk Lows. Originally rumored to be a part of the Beer Pack consisting of a Mickey’s Malt Liquor Dunk Hi, Dos Equis URL, Pabst Blue Ribbon Angus, and Heineken Dunk Low, of which only the Heineken and Angus released some years ago. Nike Basketball Fuses Football: SU08 Pack

In continuation of Nike’s commemoration of the Dunk, the latest pack has surfaced for a shoe once created as the quintessential team shoe for colleges all around but has now transcended sport and culture alike. The Eastern pack references Eastern countries with strong footballing backgrounds, inspired by both flags and football kits of teams alike. The overall theme backed by the upcoming European Championships. Each model is not without its fair share of innovations including updated cushioning, stain resistant laces and materials. Here’s our in-depth look into the most recently released colorways of the Vintage Dunk Highs from Nike. In a package that started earlier with the commemoration of the Dunk this year, these vintage Dunks embody the same characteristics as earlier releases with slight distressing and yellowing/oxidation. Colors seen here include green, light blue and black. These should be available at select Nike dealers right now.

Nike Dunk Japanese City Pack

Here is the “Japanese City” Pack from Nike which includes the Osaka Dunk, Fukuoaka Dunk, Nagoya Dunk, and Tokyo Dunk, each representing a landmark feature of the Japanese city they’re named after. In terms of color, all the shoes are definitely on the bright and flashy side with the exception of Tokyo Dunk, simply black and white. However, the Tokyo Dunk stands out with its black leather and white fur, inspired by a giant panda. The Osaka Dunk, with red/white stripes and blue linings, represents the food of Osaka and its icon, a drumming doll. The Fukuoaka Dunk pays tribute to its festival and shrines, with multicolored patent leather and asymmetrical pairings. The Nagoya Dunk is completely covered in gold patent leather with mint green accents, referring to its famous Gold Dolphin. The Skatepark of Tampa has gained a great deal of recognition for their annual Pro and Amateur competitions, bringing the best skaters in the business to Florida. During these annual events, they hold a tradition “Moat” race which involves tons of dedication and having a strong stomach. The race takes place in murky Floridian waters complete with diesel run-off and snapping turtles. To celebrate this event, Nike SB has teamed up with Barak Wiser of SPOT to produce a very limited run of 100 Moat Race inspired Dunk Mid’s.
