The 4th generation of the Medicom Toy 10 Corso Como 400% Bearbrick has recently released. The 500 piece run has already been sold out as it features a furry skin and trademark 10 Corso Como print. 10 Corso Como has become a popular retailer for its innovative product selection and great concepts. In Asia, it’s often customary to package little trinkets and other useless toys with the purchase of select items at convenience stores like 7-ELEVEN. However, this just might prove to be the best freebie yet with Medicom Toys teaming up Pepsi Nex to offer free 70% Bearbricks with the purchase of each bottle of Pepsi Nex in Japan. Sixteen different charms are available including Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, TIE Fighter Pilot, Jawa ,Imperial Logo, Yoda, C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Wicket, Clone Trooper [Ep II], Clone Trooper [Ep III] & Rebel Alliance Logo. The promotion of the less often seen 70% figures is slated to start in July.

Medicom Toy has announced their ‘08 exhibition event which takes place at the Parco Factory in Shibuya starting June 21st. It will be interesting to see what goodies the toy producer will showcasing this year. Perhaps a preview of some upcoming KAWS figures? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The Bearbrick website has been updated with a lot of new Bearbrick figures for the upcoming months. Although some of the Bearbricks might not be relevant to yourself, some will stand out like the Anna Sui Bearbrick or the KISS Bearbrick set. Check them all out after the jump.
We’ve seen the mega popular 1970s rock band KISS and their likeness surface on a series of Vans SK-8 HIs set to release later this year. However, look for the make-up clad rockers to also feature with Medicom Toys on a set of Bearbricks. The designs are modeled after the band’s costumes and make up. Continuing its recent partnership in conjunction with Medicom Toys and Disney, Japanese fashion brand Roen has released another product featuring the iconic Mickey Mouse character. While the last release included Guitar Mickey, this newest vinyl features VCD Crown Mickey decked out in Roen gear. Available at Cliffedge.
Stussy has recently released a few projects for their Honolulu Chapter, including this collabo with Japanese toy giant Medicom. This Stussy 100% Bearbrick uses the symbolic Skateman and Surfman silhouette as the main designs on the Bearbrick template. The Honolulu 2 pack comes in blue with pink logo and vice versa, these will be available at select Bearbrick dealers.
As part of the Stussy x Medicom Toy Destiny collection of Bearbricks comes a set of 100% Bearbricks. The 5 pack each features varying imagery taken from the Stussy Destiny collection inspired in part by graffiti artist Futura. The set is available now at select Bearbrick dealers.

Medicom Toy has begun the release of new movie related packs which incorporate both their famous Bearbricks as well as their more humanoid Kubricks. The upcoming sets include Indiana Jones Kubrick / Golden Idol Bearbrick and Sweeney Todd Kubrick / Movie Theme Bearbrick. Each respective Kubrick includes a set of accessories as well. A release date for the Indiana Jones is slated for June while Sweeney Todd will arrive in October.

Within Japan, it appears as though Disney approached a series of labels on different projects ranging from apparel to toys and accessories. Fashion label Roen is amongst the few to interpret the iconic Mickey Mouse character in toy form. The large scale figure features a guitar smashing Mickey.

An updated list of Medicom Toy’s collaboration and themed Bearbricks for the upcoming months have been unveiled. Comprising of five new styles, they include Tokidoki, Batman & Joker, Stussy Destiny Skullacons, Queen and Naruto. The releases dates for each Bearbrick are varied throughout the next few months.
