Description

Mikael Schiller is the co-owner and Executive Chairman of Stockholm-based fashion house Acne Studios. Schiller had various jobs as a psychology teacher, investment manager and fireworks entrepreneur before joining Acne in 2001 while he was still enrolled at Stockholm School of Economics. He eventually graduated with a Master degree. After helping write an investment memorandum, the company offered Schiller a role as managing director of the brand. He has led Acne Studios since its humble beginnings with six employees. From 2010-2013, Schiller was also part of the board of Finnish furniture company Artek. Schiller now co-owns Acne with Jonny Johansson. Together, they own about 80% of the company and have final say on the company’s direction.
