Description

Jay Smith is the co-founder of Parisian creative agency BLACKRAINBOW, also known as BKRW. Beginning his career as a freelance journalist, Smith progressed to work at WAD Magazine editing its “WAD’S UP” Paris restaurant and shopping guide. After two issues, his editors entrusted to him the founding and editorial direction of WARE Magazine, which ran for three years, quickly progressing to a quarterly run from two issues per year. After his editors terminated the magazine, Smith founded BKRW initially as a magazine with Greg Hervieux, which has since progressed into a fully fledged boutique, online retailer and creative agency, which has in the past collaborated with the likes of Chanel, Nike, adidas, Lacoste, Casio G-Shock, and Foot Locker. Outside of BKRW, Smith lives and works in Paris, and is an in-demand DJ.
