As founder of Studio ALCH, Alexandra Hackett aka Mini Swoosh is renowned for her innovative designs and non-conventional techniques. For her Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the Australian designer teamed up with Patta and Nike for streetwear-ready pieces that explored the processes of deconstruction and reconstruction. In June, the emerging label presented at London Fashion Week Men’s with a runway show for the first time ever. Reconstructing pre-existing products and juxtaposing materials, Mini Swoosh’s focus on upcycling and sustainability brings the designer into the fashion industry at an important moment.
