Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis took Palace to new heights over the course of 2018. As well as four new collections — complete with the now customary lookbooks from Juergen Teller — the London-based skate label also released a string of high-profile collaborations. 2018 saw the brand link up with Reebok for the first time since 2013, while also teaming up with Kickers and Oakley. Palace also continued its relationship with adidas Originals, which reached new levels when the brand designed the on-court uniform for adidas players at Wimbledon. November’s unexpected collaboration with Polo Ralph Lauren, however, firmly put Palace in the big leagues, while the kickflipping polo bear became one of 2018’s must-have releases. Other high-points for Tanju and Skewis’ label included releasing two new skate videos and opening a flagship store in Tokyo, complete with Jonah Hill cameo.
