Rick Owens debuted his eponymous fashion line in 1994 and has since carved out a massive following for his darkly romantic designs. Avant-garde silhouettes, beautifully muted tones and progressive footwear shapes are key signatures. Some of the American-born creative’s most renowned fans are Rihanna, Jaden Smith and A$AP Rocky to name a few. In 2018, Owens, known for his groundbreaking runway shows, presented the much-revered FW18 line dubbed “SISYPHUS.” Owens also connected with German shoe manufacturer Birkenstock for the first time on a new capsule of sandals. 2019 gives new promise for the legacy designer as he looks to hit 25 years of success in the industry.
