Founded in 2011 by Lev Tanju, Palace has earned its spot in the top echelon of streetwear and skate brands. The London-based brand stands out because of its irreverent British-ness, something that is rare in a world where other British brands tone down their roots and make concessions to the U.S.-focused sneaker world. In 2017, the brand took a huge step by launching a store in New York, doing it their own way by taking out an ad in The New York Times that was unmistakably Palace.
