Achievement
In 2016, Maria Grazia Chiuri was appointed as Dior’s first female artistic director. The Italian designer began her career at Fendi creating accessories before moving to Valentino where she spent 17 years, eight of which were as the brand’s creative co-leader alongside Pierpaolo Piccioli. Following a buzzy debut 2017, Chiuri continued to deliver strong collections for 2018 and tapped actress Jennifer Lawrence as the face of the brand. In 2018, Dior again landed on the Forbes list of the world’s largest public companies, taking the top spot for apparel companies, ahead of both Inditex and Nike.
