Heron Preston’s eponymous label has cranked out head-turning releases this year, ranging from major collaborations to seasonal collections. Along with merch for Justin Timberlake and Lil Wayne, Preston joined NASA, Carhartt, UGG, HBX and Russian retailer KM20 for exclusive drops. The designer also teamed up with mentor Virgil Abloh for a Heron Preston vs. Off-White™ soccer game, complete with custom kits. As if that all wasn’t enough, Preston teased a Nike collaboration, though that has yet to manifest in full. Even without that release on the books, Preston’s 2018 was packed with inventive releases; everything from his python-patterned work boots to mocknecks branded with his signature “стиль” were indicative of Preston’s uncanny knack to tap trends even before they’re fully realized. This has made his label a favorite of celebrities like LeBron James, Kanye West, JAY-Z and Offset from Migos, along with countless street style stars.
