Description
MASTERPIECE is a Tokyo-based label founded by Japanese pioneer Yoshifumi ‘YOPPI’ Egawa. Born out of the realmad HECTIC select shop that was central to the Ura-Harajuku movement of the 90’s. MASTERPIECE’s products incorporates influences from sportswear, workwear, outdoor clothing, and music genre reggae. As well as collaborating with the likes of Undefeated, New Era and Stussy.

With a more laid back, city life approach Japanese outfit Masterpiece get ready to release
Masterpiece has dropped a small look into their upcoming 2008 summer collection. Titled Hot
Masterpiece collaborated with the folks at 7Stars on a Skull tee for April. The tee comes in black and white, each with 3 different colors: light green, brown, and pink. The graphics include an Egyptian-looking skull, wearing an intricately designed crown. It also has a Masterpiece logo written in cursive. An overall nice collaboration that produced a simple but attention-grabbing tee.
Sharing a brotherhood with a group of brands such as hectic and rocstar, masterpiece has taken a slightly more subdued approach to their line relative to it’s other affiliated brands. Their 2008 Spring/Summer collection is made up of quite a few solid colored pieces, seen over your standard summer fare such as t-shirts, jackets, caps and lightweight jackets. Available now at select Masterpiece dealers.
Japanese label Masterpiece has teamed up with the brand Rocksmith to collaborate on an all-new series of jackets. These lightweight jackets are fabricated of shiny materials in spectrum of colors which include light blue, olive and black. Available now at Essense with a price tag of ¥36,800 (approximately $334 USD).
