HEAD PORTER is a Japanese luggage company that was established by Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, under the Porter brand. This imprint was aimed at offering stylish accessories that were still functional and high quality like the Porter items. The brand also includes a line of silver accessories and jewelry. HEAD PORTER currently has three stores: the Harajuku Flagship Store (Tokyo), -atelier- Head Porter (Tokyo), Head Porter Loft (Kyoto), and HEAD PORTER. As the more fashionable and stylish arm of the Porter brand, HEAD PORTER has collaborated with some notable names in the fashion industry, creating highly coveted collections and pieces. Such collaborations include Marni, atmos, fragment design and more.
It is owned by Porter’s parent company, YOSHIDA KABAN. HEAD PORTER has a history of producing quality products with unique original designs that are functional. Celebrated collections include the “TANKER NAVY” series (specially requested by YOSHIDA KABAN), as well as the “BLACK BEAUTY” series, which is constructed from refined matte black materials.

Honeyee has released a feature on the Head Porter’s 2008 Spring/Summer Collection. Head Porter has remained one of the more popular luggage brands in Asia and will probably continue to do so because we’re really feeling the new collection. Four new styles have been released including the Marine, the Enem 08, the Doek and the Excursion (which was just talked about). There’s something for everybody. If you want something color, you can go for the Marine line but if you wanted something more simple, the Doek line is there to serve you. Luggage maker, Head Porter, and Snowboard Giant, Burton, has teamed up on a new “Excursion” line. This collection is made for those who frequency travel the world with functional items made for that purpose. Other than the backpacks and the travel bags, Burton and Head Porter has created a hoodie which is made for those short or long distance flights. You can tell this whole collection is masterminded by no other than Hiroshi Fujiwara with the Fragment logo on the front of the hoodie. Simple yet functional, this collection should be available at the Head Porter store soon.

When the Sony Ericsson SO905iCS debuted late last year, the rest of the world was quite adamant that the feature packed SO905iCS would manifest itself in some shape or form in a new leading Sony Ericcson model. Head Porter has taken care of Japanese owners of the wonder phone with a combo package which includes carabiner, phone strap and case. The three styles feature are Black Beauty, Savanna and Python. Head Porter Plus has put up their 2008 Spring/Summer lookbook. The stylistic direction emphasizes the warm summer months and open waters which includes both mens and womens styles. The flash feature can be seen over at Honeyee with a 2008 Spring/Summer showcase for Head Porter also in the works.
As a music player, Apple’s iPod pretty much turned the mp3 player industry upside down. It’s painfully simple ease of use coupled with a clean and appeasing aesthetic yielded what we have today, a phenomenon of our time. Like all electronics, the secondary market for accessories is huge. Head Porter, the exclusive line from the luggage maker Porter, will be releasing a new series called “Snow White”. From the looks of the picture, there will be wallets, pouches and bags available. This “Snow White” series will be available starting February 6th at the Head Porter Nagoya Store.

At the recent Asia Game Show in Hong Kong, a special contest involved contestants racing around a simulated track. Winning entires were required to complete a lap of the Suzuka Track in Japan in under 2 minutes and 25 seconds with a Nissan GTR R35.
