Description
Founded in 2004 by American-based art director Prathan Poopat and Italian creative consultant Flavio Girolami, Common Projects has since been at the forefront of luxury footwear design both independently and as a collaborative partner to other high-end fashion labels. Inspired by a plethora of casual sneakers, Common Projects was created to bridge the gap between sporting and luxury footwear with their first collection, “Achilles by Common Projects,” consisting of nothing more than a low-top leather sneaker in three color options -- this model would go on to become one of their most revered silhouettes. In the 11 years following its establishment, Common Projects has grown to boast over 50 original designs and is stocked in over 26 countries worldwide in a selection of more than 220 contemporary multi-brand settings.
