Guitarist Ed O’Brien outlined the band’s future strategy during a recent deep-dive with Rolling Stone, explaining that the group intends to visit North America, South America, and Asia or Oceania in the coming years without facing burnout.
O’Brien noted that the 20-show cap is a deliberate measure to preserve the band’s raw energy and passion on stage. Acknowledging that the bandmates are “not spring chickens anymore,” he stated the highly-curated itinerary will prevent them from going through the motions or running on empty. The decision comes after Radiohead’s triumphant 2025 European tour, which marked their first live concerts in seven years and reaffirmed their on-stage chemistry.
