The Wiederhoeft Spring/Summer 2026 show kicked off in a glamorous fashion — as is to be expected from the couture-trained designer. The ethereal collection showcased a retrospective reflection, a memory journey of the silhouettes, techniques and textures that shaped the eponymous designer.

The collection, titled “Lost Works,” was inspired by the hidden treasures of life, focusing the audience’s attention on intricate or otherwise overlooked design techniques such as precise threadwork, hand-embroidery and metal boning.

The show began as the first model elegantly parted velvet curtains and glided into a salon-style living room, before making her way to an illuminated balcony. She donned a blue taffeta gown with a corseted bodice that was dripping in hand-embroidered glass-cut beads and rose montée crystal embellishments — setting the tone for a series of garments that were all equally as romantic.

The looks continued to appear from inside the velvet void. Audiences observed Wiederhoeft’s specialties: bubbling skirt hemlines, intricately tailored corsetry and sparkles that stole the spotlight. But some pieces emerged that starkly diverged from Widerhoeft’s norm — denim corsets with matching skirts, a rhinestone emblazoned t-shirt spelling out the phrase “Enjoy me, I may never pass this way again”— his take on everyday wearables and a way to expand his category beyond the formal or bridal sects. And though these looks presented a new font of the Wiederhoeft we’ve come to know, even the more casual looks were elevated by the designer’s unmistakable fingerprint. Whether it’s a denim belted maxi skirt or a butter yellow and baby blue ballgown, it’s evidently, undeniably, Wiederhoeft.

The designer presented two shows at different times to keep the spaces intimate, the last being a 9:20 PM runway show time. Wiederhoeft shows held at night seem to make the entire spectacle feel more charming — the blaring runway lights hit each piece’s whimsical accents just right, allowing the craftsmanship to truly shine, and giving credit to the “lost” or unsuspecting elements that make the brand’s DNA so distinct.
