Blancpain Readies Two Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Models in 18k Red Gold

Fifty Fathoms is perhaps one of the most recognizable and emblematic watch ranges for Blancpain. In the Swiss watchmaker’s latest launch, the iconic line welcomes two new references, the Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune and Bathyscaphe Chronographe Flyback, both clad in 18k red gold.

Both watch models arrive in a 43mm case diameter, boasting an 18k red gold build with matching 3-link bracelets. To bring out the material’s warm hue, a contrasting color was utilized for the watch face. Doused in a dark blue, the dial features a sunburst finish and is accompanied by a tonal ceramic insert on the unidirectional bezel.

Ceragold adorns the diver indices and boxy syringe-style handset on the dial, providing the pieces with essential luminosity in low-light environments. Living up to the Fifty Fathoms name, the new references are water resistant to up to 30 ATM.

Powering the Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune’s moonphase functions is the 6654.P caliber, offering 72 hours of power reserve. Meanwhile, the Bathyscaphe Chronographe Flyback runs on the F385 (5hz) movement with an approximate continuous running time of 50 hours.
