Following on from its tonal couture show in Paris last month, Thom Browne has returned to launch a bright, limited-edition “High Summer” capsule collection. Featuring menswear and womenswear, the lightweight lineup draws inspiration from America’s impressive sportswear legacy in the 1920s and 1930s.

The collection, which was exclusively previewed as an introduction to the couture show in Paris at The Musee des Arts Decoratifs on June 24, aims to supply a “modern summer wardrobe” with equal commitments to aesthetic and utilitarianism. In practice, the label’s signatures are reimagined with white-on-white tones and typewriter fabrics.

Standout menswear items include cotton Milano cardigans, leather and knit rib jackets, elastic rugby shorts, and armband sport coats. The women’s line, meanwhile, houses midi pleated bottom belted dresses, Oxfard round collared shirts, and cotton Milano-stitched cropped cardigans, among other silhouettes. In both categories, cotton twill baseball caps and acetate cat eye sunglasses from the brand’s freshly minted eyewear collection put the final touches on several ensembles.

Thom Browne’s “High Summer” capsule collection is now available to shop on the brand’s webstore and at select retail shops in New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, Chengdu and Hangzhoue. Prices range from $420 USD to $4,250 USD. Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
