Princess Nokia, Cookiee Kawaii and A-Trak join forces with virtual artists for Authentic Artists’ WarpSound Music Experience at Tribeca Festival. The WarpSound Music Experience will be a first-of-its-kind, interactive and live music showcase that pairs three renowned human artists with three founding members of the WarpSound virtual artist collective. As the world is becoming increasingly more digital, the beginning of human x machine performances is timely.

Acclaimed Canadian turntablist and producer A-Trak, New York City’s very own Princess Nokia and Jersey club savant Cookiee Kawaii will take the stage in real life. Illuminating the 40-foot LED screen will be WarpSound’s very own Nayomi, cyborg queen of lo-fi, DJ Dragoon, a reptilian trap music connoisseur and Gnar Heart, a friendly, animatronic bunny who’s ready to back up any K-pop group. The real and virtual artists will tag team for a series of multi-dimensional and genre-bending sets.

The WarpSound Music Experience will not only be the first-ever performance with AI-driven virtual artists producing and performing original, adaptive music live on stage, but also the first-ever Tribeca Festival immersive concert.

The Authentic Artists platform will also allow audience members to shape the virtual artist performances via their phones for a completely interactive musical experience. Users can interact by hitting a series of commands to suggest what changes they’d like to see — like “M” for a new melody, or “H” for more hype on stage and “D” for a new drum kit. The goal of these interactive options is to keep everyone engaged and partying hard.

While the WarpSound Music Experience is currently sold-out, those who have a Tribeca Festival ticket can attend the event at the Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place on Wednesday, June 16 at 5:00pm EDT.
