After the title track on his sophomore album, MUTT, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart, Leon Thomas is giving the record another jolt with an all-new deluxe edition, titled HEEL. Out May 30, the extended version of the project continues to tell Thomas’ sonic story with a mix of psychedelic R&B, rock sounds, soul-filled production, and new collaborations with Kehlani, Big Sean, Halle (“RATHER BE ALONE”), and more.
“MUTT has always been about embracing complexity in sound, in identity, in experience,” Leon said in a statement. “HEEL is me leaning even deeper into that chaos, and finding beauty in it.”

Thomas has had quite the successful run since releasing MUTT in August of last year. The singer made his NPR Tiny Desk debut, which earned the No.2 spot on YouTube’s top charts, and he made his television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
