Modular Gear Project Collection #005 Is For "Corporate Athletes"

Hong Kong-based Modular Gear Project describes itself as a “never-ending exploration” that “challenges the possibilities and boundaries of technical functional wearables.” Their latest effort to that end is the new Collection #005, a 13-item offering designed for the “corporate athlete.”

In the Modular Gear project world, a “corporate athlete” is someone who commutes to work in a major city via biking, walking, or public transit and therefore demands a great deal of versatility from their gear. To fulfill that need, Collection #005’s offerings are fittingly, well, modular, with a wide array of detachable and adjustable appendages. Think packable waterproof jackets with deep pockets plus plenty of clips and snaps, jackets and tops plus articulated pants that are durable enough to stand up to a bike ride in inclement weather but still stately enough to wear in a boardroom, and even pocket-filled hoods that can either be worn alone or attached to existing MGP outerwear.

All pieces across the collection were crafted with Modular Gear Project’s four brand pillars — adaptive, dynamic, versatile, performance — in mind, and were produced in mostly monochromatic color schemes to ensure their wealth of functional aspects are fully on display.
