Asymmetrical Tailoring Rules FENDI's FW24 Collection
Kim Jones paid tribute to ancient stone figures with printed photographs in black and white.
FENDI‘s Kim Jones has returned to the first day of Milan Fashion Week to debut his refined Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The renowned and celebrated British designer took over his traditional Milanese venue for the occasion, draping the space in eloquent silk curtains packed with theatrical flair.
Banging drums signaled commencement, ushering in 53 striking womenswear looks grounded in asymmetrical tailoring. The collection began with a rounded blazer dress opened at the knees, quickly followed by a panted version accompanied by leather versions of FENDI’s iconic baguette bag. Collarless suits were contrasted by knitted sleeves and debossed layers, receiving tinted accessories from sheer tights to mesh belts. Powerful kimono-style coats bloomed against musty green layers, melding into glossy car coats and mismatched boots throughout the show.
FENDI paid tribute to ancient stone figures with printed photographs in black and white, woven into mock neck tops with a historical breeze. Oversized bangles and chunky chain necklaces ruled in the accessories department, seeing Jones take his final bow before industry legends in Milan.
