The Mercer Brand To Unveil MLB Capsule Collection With ’47
With designs featuring the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Oakland A’s, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets.
Dutch label, The Mercer Brand had teamed up with MLB and ’47 for a very special capsule collection. Centering on five teams – New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Oakland A’s, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets – the drop consists of a range of caps, jackets and t-shirts rendered in its respective team’s signature palettes and motifs.
Leading the drop is ’47’s bestselling Clean-Up Baserunner cap, now featuring 100% Loro Piana cashmere, unstructured crown and dark green under visor. Priced at $199 USD, the caps are incorporated with an embroidered “The Mercer Brand” logo on the side and are limited to 100 examples per design.
Also made with Italian cashmere from Loro Piana, the Polo Varsity Jacket echoes its matching cap design with the same color schemes and motifs. Retailing for $899 USD each with only 50 pieces available per variant.
Meanwhile, the Subway Jacket is only offered in three designs: Navy for the Yankees, Beige for the Sox and Khaki for the Mets. The pieces feature Halley Stevensons’ heavy-duty 12 oz cotton fabrication, dark brown collar and button closures. The jacket comes with a price tag of $499 USD and is limited to 50 units per team.
Priced at $89 USD, the Batdog Tees arrive in five different versions, each sporting a vintage-style illustration depicting a dog sporting a ’47 cap, each representing one of the teams. Limited to 150 pieces each, the white T-shirts are made from 100% cotton from Portugal and feature a classic, regular fit.
