Brighton-based label Story mfg. has just presented its latest collection for Fall/Winter 2023. Titled “The Plough Follows the Rain,” the capsule looks to explore the great outdoors while also leaning into vibrant color schemes and patterns that juxtapose the UK’s gloomy winter season.

Traditionally Story mfg. is known for dying its garments with fruits, bark, leaves, and microorganisms, while branding is often kept minimal with cross-stitch designs that read “Story mfg.” in various placements. This new collection from the brand offers more of the same, with a melange of pastel-colored tones that tap into hues of yellow, brown, blue, green, and orange.

Collection highlights come in the form of new patchwork trousers, designed with a baggy silhouette and complemented by drawstring waists and intricately placed squares across the entire creation. Elsewhere, knitwear remains a core member of mfg.’s latest installment, with cozy sweaters welcomed in orange, yellow, and earthy color schemes.

Additionally, womenswear silhouettes are included, staying at one with nature and referencing various fruits — such as ripe tomatoes — with well-placed raised-stiched detailing.

You can take a closer look at the new collection from Story mfg. above and it’s available to shop now via the brand’s official website.
