Samsung Unfolds a Story of Artistic Inspiration with Illustrator Nourie Flayhan

For its latest campaign, Samsung profiles renowned illustrator Nourie Flayhan. Drawing parallels with the innovative qualities of the Galaxy Z Flip5, the episode taps into her story, exploring how she has taken her artwork from grassroots to globally recognized.

Citing references that go back to her childhood – from books to animations – Flayhan’s artistic style plays with dream-like aesthetics that consider real-life sights and settings. Though her drawings have stayed true to her style throughout her career, the artist aims to approach each piece by looking for a new subject – allowing her to keep “learning and discovering.”

The campaign follows Flayhan as she searches for new sources of inspiration. Influenced by the sleek and elegant aesthetics of the Galaxy Z Flip5, the artist reflects on the places where culture is cultivated – in particular, the realms where beauty and self-expression come together. The outcome of her discovery is nature, visualizing the creativity that takes place under a blanket of stars.

As well as its uniquely inspiring form, Flayhan utilizes the Galaxy Z Flip5 in a more practical way within her process. With the unconventional angles of the camera, she captures the “little details” that make up the palm trees, stars and sun, later combining the elements to create a new piece of art. With a new viewpoint to the world unlocked, the artist says, “There’s something magical about everyone having a different perspective. It’s about finding the unexpected but falling in love with it.”

Sharing a piece of the artist’s creation with fans, the brand launches a limited-edition collection – including a Galaxy Z Flip5 mirror case, embroidered Abaya and a tote bag – which adorns her playful doodles. Aptly titled “A Whimsical Midsummer,” the range features etched palm trees, blossoms and a gazing eye that honors her mystical style.
