Drake has moved the release date for his forthcoming album, titled For All the Dogs, in light of his ongoing It’s All a Blur Tour, with 21 Savage. The record, which was formerly scheduled to arrive on September 22, will come out on October 6, right before the concluding stop on his co-headlining outing.

Drake took to his Instagram Stories to explain the decision, writing, “Okay my dilemma I am faced with is either cancel shows to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show. I owe you all these memories we are building and anywhere we have missed to-date we will be spinning back for sure. For All the Dogs October 6th. It’s only right…”

For All the Dogs was originally slated to arrive on the same day as Doja Cat’s hotly-anticipated album, Scarlet, which hosts the chart-topping single “Paint the Town Red.” Drake’s last three full-length efforts have all debuted at No. 1, and he previously held a streak of nine consecutive No. 1 albums.

Ahead of the record’s release, Drake dropped the lead single, “Slime Yout Out,” featuring his first-ever team-up with SZA, on Friday of last week. Stay tuned to Hypebeast as the For All the Dogs rollout continues.

In more music news, Offset announced a new album, titled Set it Off, with a new music video.
