Ahead of Takuma Nakahira and Daido Moriyama‘s upcoming opening at the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama, HYSTERIC GLAMOUR has put together a special tee release to mark the exhibition. The exhibition serves to celebrate the mark the two photographers have made on Japanese photography and the unique relationship between Daido and the late Nakahira Takuma. With the town of Hayama as a backdrop, the works on display re-examine the photographic expressions of both photographers developed over a half-century in parallel.

HYSTERIC GLAMOUR has put together a set of special T-shirts emblazoned with prints taken from important photobooks highlighted in the exhibition. The first tee draws from Farewell Photography and shows a report of the Shimoyama Incident in 1949 paired with a photo from a supermarket in Aoyama. The accompanying tee features a print taken from the final series of sea imagery in Kitarubeki kotoba no tame ni (For a Language to Come),

Priced at ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $110 USD), tee release for Takuma Nakahira and Daido Moriyama’s “Provocative Relationship=MORIYAMA Daido×NAKAHIRA Takuma” on at the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama (July 15 – September 24) will be available via HYSTERIC GLAMOUR.
